Salix babylonica—Weeping Willow. Salix - The Willows var. babylonica (Weeping- Willow). Thewell-known common weeping willow; makes alarge tree with drooping branches. Very finefor planting on the margin of streams andponds. var. elegantissima (Thurlows Weeping Wil-low). Strong upright, with smaller branchesdrooping; puts out early and has good foliagethrough the season; probably the best willow. var. vitellina (Yellow Barked Willow). Erectin growth. Bark very yellow or golden color. var. Wisconsin (Wisconsin Willow). A largetree with long, drooping branches, similar tobabylonica, but much hardier. Sorbus - European Mountain Ash var. aucuparia.
