English: An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy casket key dating to c. AD 1200 - 1500. The key is formed from a piece of sheet metal, folded to form the oval stem and flared at either end. At one end is a crude "bow" formed by an off-centre circular perforation. A the other is a simple bit which is broken along the lower edge. Length: 52.05 mm |
