Notes on the date of the image edit

When you enlarge the image you can read the date as "Friday, September #", with a single digit, and the only single digit Friday is the 5th. The exact date is Friday, September 5, 1919. I found the Thursday evening edition with the same headline. The headline of the The New York World reads: "Senate Will Ratify Treaty, Says Wilson, And Our Men In Khaki Will Never Have To Cross The Seas Again. Senators Adopt Four Drastic Treaty Reservations." there is also an article on the 1919 actor's strike which ran from 7 August 1919 to 6 September 1919. The headline reads: "Actors Reject Managers' Offer To Stop Strike". The Treaty of Versailles was signed on 28 June 1919, but the United States Congress would not ratify it. Woodrow Wilson left office on 4 March 1921 and the Treaty of Berlin was signed on 11 November 1921. (Source: Norton in 2021)
