Obverse: CARAVSIVS ET FRATRES SVI; Radiate and cuirassed busts of Carausius (furthest away), Diocletian and Maximian left, with right hands raised Reverse: PAX AVGGG; Pax standing left, holding olive-branch and vertical sceptre Mint mark: S/P//C RIC V, pt 2, p. 550, no. 1 Diameter: 21.35 mm Note: There are almost thirty coins of this general type known. There are 7 specimens of this particular type, with hands raised, in Sam Moorhead's corpus for the new RIC of Carausius and Allectus. |
