Lovely White and Pink Japanese Wind-Flowers. (Anemone Japonica^) 'HE Japanese Wind-Flowers are here to stay, and as they become better known will be more highly most charming plant, resembling the Christ- is much more beautiful. It is one of the handsomest of the hardy herbaceous border-plants, of vig- orous growth, with rich, dark green foliage, and produces a profusion of handsome flowers on long stems. The flow- ers are two to three inches across, with a center of, dense lemon- colored stamens—are of great merit for cutting, and very stylish for corsage wear. They commence to open their richly-colored blossoms in August, Japanese'Wind-Flowers' an4 continue in beauty until cut down by frost. They are perfectly hardy, and> although not new, their many good qualities have brought them into popular demand, the great beauty of the flowers attracting unusual atten- tion wherever exhibited. No garden is complete without this beautiful plant, and it is also one of the best for cemetery planting. The engrav- ing outlines the chief characteristics of the flow- ers, but fails to portray the rare beauty of a plant in full bloom. We offer them in two colors: Alba. Large ; pure white, lemon-yellow stamens. Rosea. Rich deep rose, yellow stamens. Strong, Blooming Plants, that will flower the first season, 20 cts.- each, two for 35 cts. r40T"E * ^6 mer*ts °^ these beautiful Jap- ^^-^wv^ anese Wind-flowers is apparent when we state that the blooms are regularly cut and brought to our store in large quantities, where they sell on sight, so attractive is their chaste beauty for wearing, or for vases, or other decorative purposes.
