Description
English: U.S. Army Spc. James Mann, a native of Waterloo, S.C., a gunner and driver for the security force element of the Paktika Provincial Reconstruction Team at Forward Operating Base Sharana, holds fish and game magazines that feature himself on the cover following a recent mission near the FOB Oct. 11. When not activated with his unit, Mann is a competitive fisherman who is well-known in fishing circles around his home state of South Carolina. Mann views fishing as a great way to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature. Through his fishing successes, Mann has been able to receive associate sponsorships to help offset the cost of equipment and travel for fishing competitions, which has helped him win several different events. Mann is deployed from the B/1-178th Field Artillery Regiment, South Carolina Army National Guard.
