English: Civilians and service members show respect while colors are presented during a ceremony at the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Theater, celebrating the legacy of the Montford Point Marines, Friday. From 1942 to 1949, approximately 19,000 men trained at Montford Point, then the Marine Corps’ boot camp for African American recruits.
