A FIELD OF JAPAN IRIS AT FLOWERFIELD WHERE WE GROW THEM BY THE ACRE The Japanese Iris Iris Kaempferi The Japanese Irises surpass almost every other flower in size and magnificence of bloom. They are marvelous m delicacy and blending of colors, which range from white, through "shades of blue, violet, pink and purple to deepest maroon.black. They are beautifully veined, striped and mottled with various colors, and many are marked with brilliant yellow. Once planted, they bloom profusely year after year. Fall is the best time to plant. BEST SINGLE JAPAN IRIS Amethyst—Immense wide-spreading single flowers of fine substance. Color, light lavender or amethyst. Apollo—White, pink center. Mirage—Light pink, center suffused with light blue. Red Riding Hood—Fine amaranth, veined white. Ondine—WTiite, shaded light blue. Very large, 9 to 10 inches. Grand. Venus—Pure white. 30c each; $3.00 pep doz. BEST DOUBLE JAPAN IRIS Frate—Silvery white, veined and shaded lilac. Deep lilac center. Gold Bound—Tall and showy with flowers of enormous size; probably the most beautiful of all. Pure snow- white with large gold-banded center. Mount Hood—Light blue, shaded darker. Mahogany—Dark red shaded maroon. P. C. de Rohan—Light purple shaded violet, with rich deep purple center. Oriole—Rich plum, marked yellow. Rich and fine. Pyramid—Tall and showy, flowers very large; light vio- let-blue with slight white veins. Victor—White, veined purple. Violet-purple center. Robt. Craig—French gray, veined violet. Spotted Beauty—Large size, wavy, double, silky white freely and finely spotted with violet crimson. Taiheraku—Rich vinous purple, with conspicuous yel- low blotches tipped blue, radiating out into purple reins and feathers, petaloid stigmas gray and laven- der, six petals. Templeton—Light violet shade, mottled reddish pink and white. Often triple; exceedingly fine in form. Toledo—White, light purple center. T. S. Ware—Reddish violet veined white. Center white slightly marked lemon. 30c each; $3.00 per doz. EXTRA FINE JAPAN IRIS These are all wonderfully fine and distinct, their great beauty will be a revelation to all. Airship (Single)—Enormous flower. Petals broad and of a rare silky blue color. Extra fine. 60c each Blue Jay (Double)—Silky blue with distinct white lines on each petal. 50c each BBB'\y (Single)—Silvery white, distinctly veined and suffused indigo blue, inner petals rich plum fringed white. Very beautiful indeed. 50c each Blue Bird (Single)—Rich violet blue. 75c each Azure (Double)—immense flower exquisite wavy, mauve blue with darker halo surrounding the yellow blotch at base of petals. Very large and fine. 60c eacn Kamata (Singlet—Large, deepest sky-blue. 60c each Mrs. C. T. Saxton (Double)—Pure white. Enormous size, almost triple. 75c each Norma (Double)—An exquisite silky lavender-pink with clear blue disc and yellow spot at base of petals. Very fine and a long step towards a pink. 50c each Nightfall (Single)—Very dark purple blue, with irides- cent luster. Richest color in any Iris. 75c each Pink Progress (Single)—Just like Norma except it is single. " 50c each Ruffed Monster (Double)—Dark pinkish plum heavily veined white, with white center and yellow blotches. Extra large, finely formed and beautifully ruffled. None better than this. 75c each The Collection of 11 for $6.00
