Text Appearing After Image:
ALYSSUM A favorite little annual, because of its fragrance and abundance of bloom. As easy to grow as any weed, and blooms from early summer until severe freezing weather in fall. Sow seed very early in the open ground. Childs' Excelsior (60)—This new Alyssum is the best of all and originated with us two years ago, a sport from Snowtuft. It is just like that wonderful sort except a little taller and the spikes of bloom de- cidedly large and produced in profusion 15 (Little Gem (61)—An improved variety; much larger flowers, of a pure white, and, if possible, more floriferous than the old Sweet 5 Compactum Lilacinum (62^—Similar habit to the well- known dwarf Alyssum, Little Gem, but the flowers are of delicate lilac color 10 Compactum Lutescens (63)—A form of the Little Gem which produces bloom of a primrose-yellow color. .10 Snowtuft (64)—This marvelous new Alyssum is so dwarf, compact and free-flowering that a border of it is like a tuft of new-fallen snow. The plants grow so compact and the flowers are so numerous that nothing but a sheet of glistening white can be seen. Blooms in four weeks from seed and makes one of The finest pots of winter flowers. We have one of the finest pots of winter flowers 10 The 7 Alyssums for 40c. ARGEMONE ATROPURPUREA A splendid new Argemone with large cup-shaped blos- soms of a rich deep violet-red or purplish flower, which is very showy. It is a quick grower, blooming profusely in two months. Exceedingly showy. Argemone Atropurpurea (65) 10
