Description
English: Horse and buggy led by young man, as well as and many people along Chouteau's Pond. The view is to the southwest from Eighth and Spruce Streets. H. Chouteau's residence can be seen across the lake and Collier's White Lead factory can be seen off to the right. There is a canoe on the lake and a fisherman on the shore. "Chouteau's Pond, taken July 1851, By T.M. Easterly Dgn." is inscribed along the lower edge on the right side.
