Notes
  • Significance: This is a small, but elegant building set in a small pine forest in the rolling farmlands of lower Ablemarle County. It is important in that it is an excellent example of the Classical Revival style popular in the area and that it has been relatively unchanged and in continual use since its completion. / Located on a small rise in a pine forest near the intersection of Rts. 712 and 713 in Ablemarle County, this classically styled church has maintained an active congregation since its construction in 1832. It stands today - a prime example of the architecture of the period.
