Description
English: Mr. Said Darar, chief of climatologic data for Djibouti, shows U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. David Giddens a heliograph, an instrument used to measure sunshine duration, at the Ambouli International Airport in Djibouti, Sept. 5. Giddens, a member of the Washington Air National Guard and native of Jacksonville, Fla., was at the airport to install a high-frequency line-of-sight antenna that will allow Djiboutian weather forecasters to receive a steady stream of information from CJTF-HOA's AN/TMQ-53 Tactical Meteorological Observing System.
