ion of my work makes it impossible for me to dowhat I woujd like to do. THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF LEWIS-TOWN. On July 16, 1905, the Lewistown Church celebrated theFifteenth Anniversary of its organization on July 14, 1890.Three of the pastors who had served during this period werepresent and took part in the services, viz: Rev. George Ed-wards, Rev. Albert Pfaus and Rev. Henry Quickenden. Rev.Kenneth Brown, who had charge of the church for one year.1898-99, sent a letter of greeting, as did also Rev. S. E.Wishard, D. D., who with Mr. Edwards organized thechurch. The papers and addresses of this anniversary oc-casion were fully reported by the local press and form thefoundation of this sketch. The first Presbyterian minister to visit Lewistown wasRev. E. P. Linnell, in the spri^g^ of 1886. Rev. R. M. Stev-enson visited Lewistown and A^^lite Sulphur Springs in Oc-tober of the same year in order to choose a field for Rev.George Edwards, who had just finished his studies at Prince-
