Title
copper alloy mount
Description
English: Medieval copper alloy mount. The mount is in the form of a cinquefoil flower. On the exterior there is a series of five impressed straight lines radiating from the centre and delineating the individual, slighly convex petals. Perforations for mounting have been made in the centre of two of the petals. The rear of each petal is slightly concave. Possibly originally gilded, silvered, or tinned, though no evidence of this remains. Dates to between c1300 and c1500 AD.

The length is 20mm, the width is 19mm, and the weight is 2.23g.
