English: Cravat, lace, black, edging of bell-shaped flower heads, centre of spotted net with flower sprays; "Probably made at Caen or Bayeux rather than Chantilly itself" (note on object) This exquisitely worked Chantilly lace cravat is likely to have been worn by someone in mourning.
