W. H. Reeves, the Los Angeles representativeof the Westmoreland Specialty Co. and the LancasterGlass Co., working in conjunction with Chas. A.Bacon, of the San Francisco Crockery and GlasswareCo., is now busily engaged fixing up the new sample and the Berkeley houses have made excellent show-ings for the past year. The San Francisco Crockery and Glassware Co.report that business with their lines is picking up,both here and in Los Angeles. Several of the menconnected with this company have just returned fromthe southern part of the State and they bring veryencouraging reports from that territory. Schlueter & Co., who have large retail storesin both Oakland and Berkeley, handling a completeline of glassware, crockery and household goods, haverecently made great improvements in the Oaklandstore on Washington street. The annex just addedalmost doubles the floor space of this building.Theodore Schlueter reports a steady increase in thecompanys business and says that both the Oakland recently in Richmond, Cal , looking for a suitablesite to establish a branch plant. An offer was madethem at that time by the president of the IndustrialCommission which has been accepted, and it is nowan assured thing that this branch factory will soon bebuilt. Mrs. J. L.
