English: Pictured are riders and their horses from the HCMR during HRH Prince William's first attendance in his role as Colonel of the Irish Guards Regiment on Horse Guards Parade Ground.

William is the Irish Guards' first royal colonel and its Colonel-in-Chief is the Queen.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge took the Colonel’s Review for the first time on the 10th June 2017 on Horse Guards Parade.

Prince William, in his role as Colonel of the Regiment, was on the square to determine the readiness of the Irish Guards to Troop their Colour on the Queen’s Birthday Parade on 17th June.

The future King, Prince William, rode onto the iconic parade square as more than one thousand Household Division soldiers performed their ceremonial duty.
