English: Dish (France), late 17th century
Description
English: Oval dish with curving sides, on oval molded foot. In center, oval depressions with four circular depressions tangent at mid-point of sides and ends. Edge of dish and depressions are outlined by raised patterned bands of dark blue. Spandrels between four circular depressions are glazed in red-brown, with relief figures of winged putti bearing military attributes. Mottled glazes in depressions and on reverse.
