Description
English: Copper-alloy two-part dog collar stud? Sub-square base with concave sides. Conical, square-sectioned spike (22mm long), through centre, with circular-sectioned stud , now bent, on reverse. Rivet hole in each corner of the base; three rounded rivets intact. The upper surface of the base has engraved leaf-shaped motifs, between horizontal and vertical bands of lines. Much surface gilding survives. Red/brown dull patina. L: 26.5 Base dims.: 18.5 x 18.5 Wt: 8.47g
