Description |
English: An incomplete Medieval to Post Medieval copper-alloy double looped buckle. The pin is missing. The frame has two D-shaped loops. It is D-shaped in cross section, convex on the front and flat at the rear. The outer edges of the loops are decorated with three incised lines on each. The bar is narrowed from the frame and trapeziodal in cross section.There is iron staining which is possibly from the missing pin. The rear is undecorated but has file marks. Date: Medieval to Post Medieval - c. 1350 - 1650 |
