Description |
English: Design for a painted porcelain plate, rondel. Under a roofed outdoor kitchen, three female figures prepare fruit for baking. One woman is placing a tray of plums in a large oven, right middleground. Another kneeling woman, center foreground, arranges trays for the oven. Two children, left middleground, carry a large basket of plums; behind them, a third woman balances a tray of fruit on her head. In the left background, a partial view of children collecting plums under a tree, and a house. In the lower left margin, a semi-circular sketch of an oven [?]; in lower right margin, a circle with four lines forming an approximate square in the middle. |
