Photograph of miner E.M. Hamilton, discoverer of Willow Springs Mine near Rosamond, Antelope Valley, at the mine, ca.1900. He is holding his hat above his head in his right hand in jubilation as he looks at ore in his left hand. He has windblown white hair and a white beard with no mustache. At his feet are a pick, a pail(?), and a metal(?) box. He is standing near some rocks. Scrub brush and scrub grass cover the hillside behind him. "'I found the color,' exclaims E.M.
