Entwickelt 1978/79 von Jean-Daniel Nicoud und André Guignard am Laboratoire de Micro-Informatique (LAMI) der ETH Lausanne, produziert von der Firma Dépraz, eines im Waadtländer Jura für die Uhrenindustrie tätigen feinmechanischen Betriebes.�Diese Maus ist eine der ersten kommerziell erhältlichen Mäuse. Sie ist als Schweizer Maus bekannt. Der Erfolg beim Verkauf dieser Maus hat Logitech dazu veranlasst, sich von einer Softwareentwicklungsfirma zu einem der weltweit führenden Anbieter von Mäusen und anderen Eingabegeräten zu entwickeln.
