Description |
English: Cast copper-alloy buckle. Mass: 4.1g, length: 19.0mm, width: 16.6mm, thickness: 4.8mm. Later Anglo-Saxon or Anglo-Norman (c.11th-c.12th century). Sub-oval frame, which has a sub-D-shaped, almost triangular cross section. Zoomorphic head terminals adjoining the circular-sectioned bar. Brown/green surface. A waxy substance has been applied to the buckle. |
