English: Fragment of an Early Saxon brooch, probably cruciform, small with broken head-plate with central panel, one side missing (ancient break), half round integral top and side knob remain, broken across facetted bow (recent, granular, break). Broken perforated lug on reverse, contains iron staining. >19 x >26mm. Late 5th – 6th century |
