Early Medieval buckle
Description
English: A large copper-alloy D-shaped single-looped buckle frame dating from the 9th to 12th century. The ends of the buckle frame are in the form of beast's heads biting the bar. They are clearly modelled with eyes, ears and jaw strongly defined. The strap bar is missing. The outer edge of the frame is D-shaped in cross-section and swollen. It has a length of 29.82mm, width 8.08mm, thickness 8mm, weight 15.13g.
