Early Medieval buckle
Description
English: A cast copper alloy buckle probably dating from the early Medieval period. The frame is oval in plan and rounded in section. The bar no different in design to the rest of the frame but it is snapped. The pin is rectangular in section. It is looped round the bar and tapers to a downwards pointing tip. There is a raised collar across the pin near the loop. The pin and buckle have a dark green patina.
