Title
Early Medieval iron ring in corrosion
Description
English: A cast iron ring, visible within a larger lump of iron corrosion, probably dating to the Early Medieval period.

The ring is less than half visible, but is circular or sub-circular in section with a minimum diameter of 53mm.

X-ray has revealed the full extent of the ring, as well as a possible interlinked but smaller second ring, and some other linear object with a rounded head.

This is probably related to another corroded lump of iron bearing a ring and sockets that has been tentatively dated to the 6th century, when there was a known episode of burial on the site.
