Early Roman or Romano British copper alloy brooch
Description
English: Early Roman or Romano British copper alloy brooch. It shares similarities with type 17 in Hattatt's Ancient And Romano-British Brooches (fig 20, p65). It appears devoid of decoration. The sprung pin, spring, axis bar, and catchplate are absent but the spring's top retaining loop is present in part. Probably dates from c45 to c60 AD.

The length is 37mm, the width is 26mm and the weight 4.39g.
