From these it is evident that theelectrified railroads in this country are largely in thelead in this field. The Paulista has adopted Americanapparatus and methods, so that the installation on its Campinas-Jundiahy sectioncan hardly be consideredforeign. Across the Atlantic oper-ating conditions are so dif-ferent from those in theUnited States that compar-isons can only be made withdifficulty. However, able en-gineers and transportationmen are vigorously at workthere and real progress isbeing made. Their solutionsof their problems will be ofservice here.
