Worlej - The track is laid with standard white oak ties, 70-poundsteel rails in 33-foot lengths. 4 and 6 bolt splice bars, and isbonded with the Ohio Brass Companys solder bonds. Twothousand cubic yards of gravel per mile was used in ballast-ing the track supported on 9-foot tubular brackets at a height of 20 feet above the rails. The overhead work was built by C. O. Scott of Kokomo, Ind. Substations. The Van Buren substation is located 10 miles east ofMarion. The building is a 2-story brick structure 22 by 1feet.
