Urbana & Western Electric Railway. All of theselines, with the exception of the Columbus, Newark & Zanes-ville, have their principal offices in the city of Columbus, andmay properly be said to be distinctively Columbus organiza-tions. The Columbus Railway & Light Company operates prac-tically all of the city lines. It has 107.4 miles of track and 312cars and owns Minerva Park and also the popular Olen-tangy P.irk. The Columbus, Newark & Zanesville extendsfrom Columbus through Newark to Zanesville, including ap-proximately 30 miles of city lines in Newark and Zanesville.The Columbus, London & Springfield from Columbus toSpringfield and the Columbus, Grove City & Southwesternfrom Columbus to Morgans are included in the properties ofthe Indiana, Columbus & Eastern Traction Company and rep-resent 170.6 miles of track. The Columbus, Urbana & West-ern Electric Railway was organized to construct an electricrailway from Columbus through Mechanicsburg to Urbana.

No capital stock has been issued as yet andthe investment in this property is not included in the totalsearlier mentioned. The total miles of track of the ten roadsis 430.4. A number of beautiful parks are within easy reachof the center of the city by means of the lines of the ColumbusRailway & Light Company. Olentangy Park, before men-tioned, can be reached over its lines, and those of the Colum-bus, Delaware & Marion Railway. The park is a short dis-tance north of the fair grounds. Among the other city parksare those known as Franklin, City and Goodale. The latterpark is within walking distance of the union station andFranklin Park, which is on the east side of the city, may bereached by the cars of the Columbus Railway & Light Com-pany. Glenmary Park, Stratford Park and Marion Park areowned by the Columbus, Delaware & Marion Railway and maybe reached over its line
