Special Car Detroit United Railway. In the partition between the kitchen and the observationroom a space has been utilized for the storage of water andice. Convenient to the kitchen is a closet for the storing oflinen and tableware. Immediately ahead of the kitchen is anoffice 7 feet 9 inches long by 5 feet 5 inches wide, providedwith a writing desk, a center table and chairs. This office an unobstructed view ahead of the car. The partition andthe front of the vestibule are made of heavy plate glass ex-tending from the roof nearly to the platform floor. All the windows of the car are of clear plate glass with fullcurtains and window drapings. The fixtures are of polishedbrass and the interior compartments are lighted by clusters September, 190C.
