English: Electricians Tom Ojala, right, and Donnie Bull repair damage to the holiday star on the summit of Mount Gordon Lyon near Anchorage, Alaska, Sept. 6, 2012. The star was scheduled to be lit on the evening of Sept. 11, 2012, in memory of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Officials planned to keep the star lit from the day after Thanksgiving until the last musher in the annual Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race crosses the finish line in March 2013. |
