Puerta del Claustro en la Catedral 530 BURGOS SO, como se revela aún en varias partes, estuvieron coloridas^cual fué costumbre de la época. Presididas por dos ángeles con coronas en las manos, queen las respectivas claves se destacan, decoran las dos arcadasde la puerta hasta catorce estatuillas de profetas y doctores,sentadas, levantadas sobre sus correspondientes repisas y som-breadas por sus oportunos doseletes, entre los baquetones quecon otras labores señalan el movimiento de la archivolta, des-arrollándose en el tímpano ó entreojiva el cuadro del Bautisniade Jesús cu el Jo7^dán, expresivamente representado: ocupa laparte central y más noble por tanto, dentro de una especie degloria que soportan dos ángeles y sobre la cual abre sus alas elEspíritu Santo en forma de paloma, la imagen del Salvador,desnudo; las rizadas aguas del Jordán cubren pudorosamente laparte inferior del cuerpo, que se muestra inclinado hacia adelan-te, y el Bautista, fuera de la citada gloria y
