DescriptionFalcon Brigade medics culminate training with casualty evacuation exercise 120419-A-FO214-360.jpg |
English: Medics practice loading and unloading casualties from a UH-60 Blackhawk during a casualty evacuation exercise, April 19. During the event, a group of paratroopers assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division's 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, were injured when a roadside bomb detonated along their patrol. The medics triaged and treated the casualties, transported them to the aid station, and evacuated them on a UH-60 Blackhawk. Designed to challenge the medics, the exercise was the culmination of their field training and taught them how to react in a worst-case scenario. |
