Summary edit

Description
Afrikaans: Plaashuisie naby Houtbaai, Kaapstad.

Hout Bay, or as it is sometimes called Woodman's Bay, is situated on the western coast of the Cape peninsula, some little distance south of Cape Town. Its harbour, securely nestled under the shade of lofty mountains, forms a good anchorage with admirable shelter from prevailing winds. The picture portrays the Lion's Head, a rocky promontory 2,760 feet high, which juts out into the sea about three miles south [i.e. north] of the bay.
