Title
Finger ring
Description
English: A complete copper-alloy signet finger ring. Measuring 27mm in external diameter and 20mm in internal diameter. The hoop is decorated with two parallel circumferencial mouldings. The bezel is oval in shape 18mm by 13mm in size. It has a deep boarder groove and within this an indented design. This design seems to depict the head of St John the baptist on a platter, a design more commonly seen on 14th century seal matrices. This signet finger ring is most likely to be late 15th or 16th century in date.
