A houseof this class is now standing on the corner of Charles andLinden streets. It was originally a parsonage, occupied bythe Rev. John Payson, and stood on the site of the presentresidence of Samuel Burnap on South street. Mr. Burnappurchased this house and a large tract of land of Mr. C.Marshall, in 1838, and removed the old house to where it isnow located, to make room for his present residence.
