Title |
Flint handaxe |
||
Description |
English: A Lower Palaeolithic handaxe. The axe is a pointed oval and is made from a grey mottled flint, now patinated ochre. A little modern damage on one edge reveals the original colour of the flint. A small fossil sponge is embedded in one side. |
