TO OUR ♦.jfriemls and flbatrons INCONSTANT BEAUTY (See page 8.) J^yFy^E PRESENT with pleasure our new illustrated catalogue for ^ r 1899, in which we have listed everything we have to offer from a large and well-grown stock. Our establishment is thoroughly equipped in every respect; our facilities for handling mail and express orders are of the best. Our entire business is under the direct personal supervision of the proprietors, and in case of mistakes in filling orders, we will, upon prompt notification, rectify same. Kindly keep a copy of your order to compare with plants received. ORDERS LOST OR STOLEN. Sometimes it happens that orders never reach us. When customers fail to receive their plants within a reasonable time, they should in- form us of the fact, and at the same time send a dupli- cate of their order, also stating- the form of remittance and date of original order. USE OUR ORDER SHEET, Filling all the Blanks Care- fully. In making- out your order, please use the con- venient Order Sheet which accompanies each Catalogue. If it is necessary to write a letter in addition, let it be on a separate sheet. PLANTS BY EXPRESS. We always recommend having plants sent by express, where there are many ordered, and when there is an express office near, as we carl usually send much larger plants, and do not have to wash the soil off the roots, as is the case when sent by mail. When the weather is sufficiently warm we pack all express orders in light, strong baskets (which we furnish free), having the tops exposed! Plants packed in this manner will carry nicely for a great dis- tance, and keep for a week or ten days in a fresh condition. Pur- chaser pays charges. New Low Express Rates. We call attention to the new low ex- press rate, which is a reduction of 20% from the regular merchan- dise rate, at which plants have been expressed heretofore. PLANTS BY MAIL. When plants are ordered by mail, we prepay postage, delivering the plants free of all expense to any postoffice in the United States. Orders amounting to less than 25 cents not accepted. Canada Customers. In ordering plants sent to Canada, please send 10 cents extra with each $1.00 worth ordered, as the postage rate on plants to Canada is double that in the United States. OUR TERMS are Cash with the Order. No order sent C. O. D. unless a remittance of one-fourth of the amount of the order be made to guarantee the acceptance. HOW TO REMIT—Postoffice Orders. The safest and most convenient way of transmitting money from one point to another is by means of postoffice orders; if these are lost a duplicate can easily be obtained, and there is no danger of their being stolen, for no one can obtain money on them except the person to whom they are addressed. They can be obtained at most postoffices, but not all. The fee is but 5 cents for $5.00 and under. Express Money Orders. If more convenient, money can be sent in this way with perfect safety, as in case the letter is lost a duplicate can be obtained if you are careful to keep your receipt. Bank Drafts. These should be drawn on New York City, and made payable to the order of McGregor Brothers. WE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONEY SENT BY ANY OF THE ABOVE METHODS. Loose Money enclosed in a letter is at the risk of the sender. Individual Checks cannot he Received in payment for plants; neither can we accept Canada or Mexican silver or paper money. Postage Stamps. These can be sent for fractional parts of one dollar, or where Postoffice Order cannot be had. When stamps are sent get 5-cent or 10-cent, if possible, as we use more of them than any other. REFERENCES. If you have any fears that we will not perform what we promise, we refer you to the First National Bank of this city, or to the Postmaster. Address all letters, and make drafts, money orders, etc., passable to McGREGOR BROS., Springfield, Ohio.
