THE NIMROD CLUB.—About two years ago several gentlemenwho were interested in rifle and shotgun shooting, organized a clubfor the purpose of participation in these healthful and exhilaratingsports. BEAVOR WEBB. rrr-f nearly a year and a half have held rifle and glass-ball shoots monthly.The membership of the club steadily increased, and a headquarterswas secured at 45 Bloomfleld avenue, Newark; N. J., consisting of alarge room (18x40), which has been appropriately furnished for a clubroom. A well-built rifle range, 70ft. long, has been put up, which isin constant use by the members of the club. It is intended veryshortly to improve this range by various additions. The club hasrecent y purchased two Balllard rifles, one for gallery and one for outdoor shooting. Our monthly dues are very small, and the initiationis only $2. W e believe that a club of this character is of great bene-fit to young men, as it affords them a place in which to spend theirleisure time, as well as various kinds of amusements, thus doing away-with all desire to resort to places of a compromising character inorder to seek amusement.
