Description
English: Sgt. Anthony Gaither, a medic with 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, prepares a simulated casualty with a suspected spine injury for transport by emplacing a cervical spine support behind him during the Expert Field Medical Badge training and testing at Fort Hood, Texas, Sept. 15. The EFMB is a prized badge for medical personnel to prove their mettle through a series of grueling events over 11 days, culminating in a 12-mile road march. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Leah R.
