Fragment of Dragonesque brooch
Description
English: A fragment of a Roman copper-alloy Dragonesque brooch. The body of the brooch is D-shaped in section and is decorated with crescent-shaped grooves. The body tapers to a foot with two lobes which are also grooved. On the reverse there is no sign of a catchplate or spring mechanism and the pin is missing.
