Description
English: Photo of Church Street, West Hartlepool, looking up towards Christ Church, now the Hartlepool Art Gallery, with the electric tramlines running down the street. The Electric Tram system was introduced onto Church Street in 1885. Shops can be seen along the right side of the picture including A. Hume Steel. The photograph dates approximately between 1885 to 1905.
