  • Scope and content: HQ., 20TH AIR FORCE, OKINAWA --- As take-off time approaches, Airman Joseph Migliardi, 274 King St., Port Chester, N.Y., runs a last minute check on the remote control apparatus of his .50 claiber machine guns. A "Superfort" gunner with Far East Air Forces Bomber Command's Okinawa based 19th Bomb Group, Airman Migliardi's fore-thought and vigilance will pay off in protection through Korean skies for his B-29 and ten crew mates. He is a veteran of 14 combat missions against Communist interdiction targetrs.
