| Description |
Deutsch: Denkmalgeschützte Hofanlage in Hagen-Dahl, Rumscheid 5; erbaut 1819. Hof Rumscheid (ursprünglich: Rumenscetha) wurde erstmals 1050 in der Steuer- und Abgabenrolle der Abtei Werden a. d. Ruhr erwähnt. Es ist damit der älteste dauerhaft besiedelte Wohnplatz auf Hagener Gebiet. Der Hof blieb über 700 Jahre in Besitz des Klosters. Rumscheid gehörte zur Bauerschaft Bölling und laut Schatzbuch der Grafschaft Mark von 1486 gab es unter den 16 Steuerpflichtigen der Burschop Bollynck die beiden Gerwyn und Hynrich to Rungenschede mit einer Abgabe von jeweils drei Goldgulden. Durch die Lage am Römerweg, der alten Handelsstraße vom Ruhrgebiet ins Sauer- und Siegerland, und der Querverbindung von Zurstraße zur gräflichen Limburg (Hohenlimburg), war Rumscheid ab dem Mittelalter ein bedeutender Knotenpunkt.
