Description
Deutsch: Hagen-Wehringhausen, Bachstraße 56. Stolperstein für Martha Wassermann (Jg. 1909). Als sie 25 Jahre alt war, wurde sie schwanger. Im Februar 1936 wurde sie – wahrscheinlich im Rahmen einer Vorsorgeuntersuchung – beim Gesundheitsamt angezeigt. Der Arzt war der Meinung, Martha sei »erbbelastet«. Als Indiz ihrer »Minderwertigkeit« galt, dass sie als Kind in der Schule sitzen geblieben war. Außerdem war Martha schwanger, jedoch nicht verheiratet. Menschen, die den bürgerlichen Normen nicht entsprachen, wurden oft als »moralisch schwachsinnig« abgestempelt, so auch Martha. Im März wurde sie im Allgemeinen Krankenhaus von Dr. Haver zwangssterilisiert. Außerdem wurde das Kind per Kaiserschnitt abgetrieben. Martha war im sechsten Monat schwanger.
