English: Cpl. Raveem Foster, foreground, a native of Detroit, uses the interphone communication system to speak with Cpl. Beau Kitchens, a native of The Dalles, Oregon, as they conduct an operational test check on the flight control computer of a Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 MV-22 “Osprey” Nov. 17 on the Royal Australian Air Force Base Amberley flight line. Effective aircraft maintenance allowed Marines and aircraft from VMM-265 and VMM-262 to fly approximately 4,700 miles from Okinawa, Japan, to Brisbane, Australia, to provide aerial support to President Barack Obama and Marine Helicopter Squadron One during the G20 Summit. Both Foster and Kitchens are avionics technicians with VMM-265, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Staff Sgt. Zachary Dyer/Released) |
