Head, figurine |

Description |
English: Figurine head. Mould made. Asymmetric headdress, cap-like with rim of vertical lines across forehead, following brow-line, dipping in centre above bridge of nose. On one side of the head a lock with lines falls diagonally to the top of the earspool, on the other a shorter lock with vertical lines sits above the earspool. The gap between the elements is 'bald'. Both earspools, large and flat without decoration in the centre, remain intact. Arched brows. Lidded and rimmed eyes, nose, flattish and damaged. Full-lipped mouth with lines starting from the nose on each side. Plain single roll collar. Broken at neck. Concave back. White pigment and traces of yellow brown on front. Traces of white on the back. |
